Pledges & Enrichment

At Churchill Park Academy, enrichment is a pivotal part of every student’s journey. We believe learning extends beyond the classroom and that every experience is an opportunity to grow and develop. Our enrichment opportunities and pledges are carefully planned and linked to the whole-school topic, ensuring cohesion across the curriculum. These experiences are then differentiated to meet the needs of individual pathway groups within the school, enhancing pupils’ learning outcomes, experiences, and cultural capital. 

Our enrichment and pledges are designed to: 

• Foster confidence, life skills, and resilience through hands-on, meaningful activities linked to topics and learning.
• Provide opportunities to explore the arts, sports, history, nature, technology, and other curricular subjects in ways tailored to individual needs.
• Strengthen social and communication skills through collaborative and engaging experiences.
• Support independence by developing problem-solving, self-expression, and critical thinking.
• Inspire a love of learning by offering diverse and joyful experiences that reflect each student’s interests and aspirations.

At Churchill Park School, we believe in celebrating and rewarding the achievements of our pupils to motivate and encourage their continued success. Pupils who complete their pledges have their accomplishments added to their learning journey, serving as a lasting acknowledgment of their hard work and progress. This not only provides a sense of pride and achievement but also highlights their personal growth over time. 

At the end of every academic year, pupils participate in a Pledge Celebration, where parents and carers are invited to recognize and celebrate the wide range of experiences and achievements their child has gained throughout the year.
